Oh my goodness! This is so difficult. I have been reading SO much, and there seem to be the same amount to recommend the non surgical route, as the knee surgery. We would do anything for our little girl, but are concerned about keeping her so inactive after the surgery. It's VERY challenging keeping her restrained and calm now! She is only on leash outside...and, I have just gotten some play pens for her to be in when we are some. She shoots off our laps if she's relaxing on the couch and gets excited. Our vet is on the fence about which route is better for her...especially heading into the summer with lots of vacation and summer plans.
