Angry dskeeter...

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I'm steriotyping you by saying this, but what I said above still applies. I understand that your thoughts of not putting your dog in the ring are and I don't even know if you breed your dogs. With the assumption that you do and w/ what limited thoughts you just posted, your reasons for thinking "Yorkies are Yorkies" if FAR from being the truth. If I've ever heard an ignorant statement, you just took the taco!

This thread was not intended to bash. I actually believe the original intention of this thread was lost many posts back and turned into a more intellectual one, but I needed to reply to what you typed.

All I can say is you are so very very far from the truth. The are most certainly purebred Yorkies and the distinquishing factor are "well bred" Yorkies.
Not all purebred Yorkies are good Yorkies, but instead may be good dogs. However all well bred Yorkies are good Yorkies. HUGE difference. And I'm not talking about "Mulitple Ch. background this and that"! That MAY increase your odds of having a well bred dog, but a well bred dog to me moreover should be a dog that genetically has been paired up properly so that they fit the standard, have great health and a super YORKIE temperment!
My Little Nemo is the BEST (biased opinion-even though many ring side viewers agree) Yorkie I'v ever met and have the pleasure of being his "big sister" (he belongs to my folks back home) and ever though he is a pure bred Yorkie and the BEST Yorkie of all time, I will never hesitate to state that he is NOT well bred. He does not completely fit the standard set to reinforce the benefit for continuing the breed in a postive way; he does have excellent health and TIGHT little joints and posesses that SUPER temperment that we all love and then some! So, he's purebred all right, but not well bred.

Just because you love your dogs and think they're the best doesn't mean your right or that they should reproduce. That's where we see the most numbers of falling apart Yorkies come from. And again: Just because Brad Pit and Jennifer Aniston have kids doesn't mean that they will all come out models or movie stars. It just significantly increases the odds!

Would you want to own an etheopian child knowing it may be riddled w/ unknown/unvisible health problems that may take him/her at a young age from you? or a Pit child that is most likely going to live to maturity and have a long/healthy life ahead of it-and maybe fabulous looks to boot, which is what the populous would've thought a Pit baby would be??? (you know what I mean by this!-my heart pours to those etheopian babies, and I thought about removing this insensitive question, but have decided to leave it up.)
