Angry Collapsed trachea 😐

Good morning from Florida I'm a mommy to Bella who turned 4 on March 20th of this year. On February of last year my little angel was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea. It was been managed at 1st with 1/2 of mg of xanax a day & 1/2mg of valium for special occasions like grooming day or visitors to our home. This year she's had 3 very bad episodes of respiratory distress, the last one her vet had a very difficult time stabilizing her. At this time her vet put her on 25mgs twice a day or every 8hrs if necessary of trazadone & 1/2 mg of steroids she did very well on the trazadone & the steroid with the exception of occasional short periods of coughing 2 or 3 times a day. 5 days later came her evaluation with her vet. I was very pleasantly surprised with her car ride to the vet's office. Bella was perfectly calm all the way to the vet's office. Once inside the vet's she was a little shaky but no heavy panting or coughing, until the vet came in when she started heavily panting. I informed her vet that of her improvement & that my son & fiancee had stopped by for a for a visit & she had been fine. Something that was out of the question before the new med treatment. Her vet was very pleased & told me to continue everything as recommended, but that to lower the steroids in 2 weeks to a quarter of mg a day & she also added hydrocodone .9mgs twice a day. Ever since she started with the hydrocodone syrup twice a day her coughing spells have gotten worse & she's having longer coughing spells than before. This morning at 8: am I gave her the steroid, trazadone & the hydrocodone. At 9:30 she had her longest coughing spell ever & was making a snoring sound while resting. I gave her a second dose of trazadone & cough syrup & now she's resting quieter but she making a snore sound in her sleep. My concern is that while she's tolerating visitors to the house & even a car ride her coughing spells are worsening since I've started her on the hydrocodone syrup. Anybody out there had the same experience? and if yes is this normal? Or am I over worrying? Finally does the hydrocodone come in pills? She doesn't do well with liquid, but seems to do very well with pills as long as I wrap it in a tiny piece of turkey breast. Help I'm very worried about my little angel
