Agreed. I'm sure you read the "Resources" section from the VOSM website link I gave above, but just in case you didn't see that section, here is their article on CCL ruptures: http://www.vosm.com/includes/storage...5/CCLfinal.pdf

It looks like they don't recommend surgery only in cases in which the tear is mild and the dog is too weak or old to undergo surgery. They recommend surgery in most cases.
