 Anti-vaccinosis
I had Izzie to UT yesterday. They ran several tests, did X-rays and blood work. They don't think it is collapsed trachea but can't rule totally out at this time. The X-ray of her trachea looked good along with everything else. They sent me home with a 14 day wormer and said could possibly be lung parasites. I really don't think that could be it but will try it. If she doesn't get any better in 14 days the next step is to do a bronchoscope and wash. I still feel it was caused by the bordetella oral vaccine. I gave her the anti-vaccinosis for 2 days and am hopeful that will help.
The UT doctors will probably call me today and I am going to discuss with her the side effects of the vaccine and ask them to call the company that produces it. I hope it is not something she has to live with the rest of her life. I looked up the side effects and she has all of them except lethargy. She WILL never get the bordetella vaccine again! |
