We were planning on doing that in the new house... the one we're in isn't 100% secure thanks to the back neighbors dog.. and luckily sasha is trained and is really obsessive about being near my mom or we'd have to be even stricter with her too. The new house has a back porch with wood rails. I was thinking of tying a tie out to that post and only letting her there when I am in the yard with her. I don't trust people I don't know- and I heard of dogs being snatched from their yards by birds of prey, other predatory animals, or people... She could get in trouble if I am not there to watch her, plus she doesnt like being alone oddly(for a stray).
