If the Yorkie is a puppy, the temperature should be 69 degrees at the lowest (I read that in a book.). However, if it's a grown dog, you can get by with sweaters in the winter (if it's chilly in the house). Unless you keep the house really cold in the summer, you might not need a sweater in the summer.
We keep our house at 63 degrees night and 67 day in the winter. In the summer, we keep it 67 degrees night and 70 degrees day. Since we keep our Bella in a crate with plenty of blankets on the nightstand at night, we generally don't use a sweater except on the coldest days in the winter. We don't use a sweater during the summer at all. |
