My Chi, Arthur, had surgery for tears in both his knees - at 2 different times.

Is your vet really well-versed in Ortho, especially knees...? If not, believe me, you'll absolutely want to get a 2nd opinion from someone who specializes in knees as one of their areas of expertise.
