The problem with Lyme Disease is that antibiotic treatment is not 100% effective in all cases, and in rare cases it either is not completely cured, or there are chronic after-effects even if it is cured. It's worth asking your vet about. IF the leg pain was originally due to Lyme Disease, it should have gone away within the first week of treatment, so his leg pain being caused by Lyme Disease is just a possibility at this point, but one worth investigating.
If the leg pain is due to a hip sprain, how long did the vet say it would be before the pain is supposed to go away?
