Glad its out - expect a little swelling because of the toxins released - it doesn't mean you left the head in, but keep an eye on it and neosporin would be a good idea. Before a tick is engorged it is tiny and dark brown or black with little legs and a tear shaped body. The quicker you find them, the easier they are to remove. Yorkies are so little you can usually do an entire body check quickly (never saw one that close to an eye, usually on the edges of their ears).
