Don't worry - don't panic!!!! It is some sort of a (probably benign) growth that will have to be removed --because it is growing - and you know it is growing because probably a month ago or so, it wasn't there.
I see no hurry getting to the vet, but when you can in a couple of weeks, take your little guy in and get it taken care of.
My, much older, dog has a little growth on her lower lip that was slowly getting larger. It was easily removed, and we had no problems because of it.
