I had Pugs and am still a proud "Pug Person" but when I moved across the country from my family & was settled enough to get a dog I knew I had to explore other breeds since I needed something smaller that would travel better than a Pug.

My friend had two amazing Yorkies who travel everywhere with her as shes a musician.

So, I decided on the breed out of practicality more than a true love for the breed... well, after about 5 seconds with my perfect little Monroe I was a true Yorkie person!

I love the normal terrier qualities, how quickly they learn, their desire to please & that they ACTUALLY listen! haha. They're also so adaptable and can go with me everywhere. If I am comfortable in a situation, so they they. They always seem to be watching me to see how to "feel" or act (comfortable, confident, excited, playful, calm). I think my girls are a bit different than others, as they don't really bark and are generally pretty calm. I've never had a dog who feeds off my energy the way they do or is so easy going. I'll get a Pug again someday because there's nothing like a Pug face, snort etc... but Yorkies have truly stolen my heart as the breed I will describe as "the best".
