In 1998 I asked my parents if we could get a dog; we began looking in the local paper. We decided we wanted a smallish dog and found an ad for a yorkie/chihuahua mix. I knew nothing about yorkies at the time, but we ended up getting one of the puppies. And that was how my beautiful, wild Micky came in to our lives. He was destructive, a biter, a thief up until his dying day and I loved him dearly. It will be 7 years this Friday since he passed.
We knew right away we needed another dog, and thanks to Micky knew it had to be a yorkie. That August we brought Sunny home and he fit in immediately. Yes, he's spoiled and yes, he knows he can use his cuteness to get away with things. But yorkies are feisty, smart, willful little dogs with huge personalities. We are so glad to have another.
