I use one hand to hold the hair and create a shield for the face. Hand flat with the hair falling over my hand or coming through my fingers. Point the dryer toward the tail and avoid blowing directly into the face. Do not hold the dryer too close to the dog, and do not hold it in one place. Medium setting for heat.
Before you start blow drying, use a towel to wick up as much moisture as possible. Don't rub, just scrunch the mustache, beard, and topnot in the towel fold.
Use your hand to run it through the hair and create the barrier as you dry. Sometimes I use a brush in place of my hand.
For the chest, I hold one front leg up and move the dryer back and forth.
I dry my boys on the counter using my body to block them. Sometimes we work sitting on the kitchen floor.
