Always have a safe haven for your pup to get to, away from your baby. Back of your sofa is perfect. A 8 yo dog, especially a rescue, you not knowing his past history may never have been around babies or small children. A toddlers fast hand movements scares dogs, so an escape area for your dog is a must.
