Hi all! I am new here, and just brought our baby girl home on Saturday. She is 18 weeks and very tiny, 1.12 ounces. The first night, I slept in the room with her and had her in her playpen with her bed and she did great. Only whimpered a couple of times.
Last night, however....she cried and cried for about an hour before I took her out and allowed her to sleep in bed with me. I was so worried she might stress herself out and get low blood sugar or diarrhea? She hasn't been eating her dry kibble since she arrived at my house, and will only take wet food right now. Her breeder suggested I offer the wet if she was refusing the dry (which is what she was eating fine before I got her). I know its just the stress of settling in I'm sure, but all of this had me so worried I just couldn't take the crying.
My question is, is it safe to let her "cry herself to sleep"? Or should I allow her to just sleep with me? I know she will have to get used to her play pen when I am out doing errands etc. and she has to stay alone. I am just wanting to make the best decision possible. Any advice is appreciated!
