 Growth charts
I do not find the charts to be especially accurate. As a breeder, I find knowing the genetic heritage of both parents, and charting the growth of puppies for the first year allows me to give a more accurate prediction to owners. No reputable breeder would guarantee a size. They will say I estimate about....... I kept back a beautiful female who was charting 5# at 12 weeks of age. At one year she was 2#8. She followed her fathers genetic line. |
