Sunny has (had) bladder stones as well (apparently it's common with yorkies). They make special diets for dogs that have this, and there are certain foods they can/can not eat. He also takes calcium tablets. We get his Ph levels checked every 6 months and the vet x-rays to see if new stones are forming. Aside from that, it is very manageable.
A proper diet & maintenance is key; also monitoring when/how often they pee, which will catch it before too many crystals form. Good luck with her! |
