The classification of dogs as carnivores or omnivores is controversial, but it is clearly the case that dogs will thrive on a mixed diet derived from animal and plant sources, so they are not obligate carnivores. With respect to feeding raw, I'm sure that there are good commercial sources of raw foods, and that a conscientious dog owner can create a healthy raw food diet.
