For the first 2 years Emma's hair grew downward on the nose and eyes, I ended up getting a groomer and she trimmed it. I was okay with it since my vet had said something about possible eye infection if it wasn't trimmed regularly. Emma is regularly groomed and the eye/nose hair is trimmed so I don't notice the awkward but it does irk me when its starting to grow out.
I think its okay to have the long hair its just a personal preference.
