Default Havent slept, help!

I have a 5 month old yorkie that suddenly regressed. He spends his time in the kitchen/living room downstairs and comes up with me to my room to sleep at night. For the past week, he has been refusing to sleep in my room. There have been no environmental changes, nor did I move anything around in my room. When we go upstairs he scratches, barks, whimpers, and does not stop until he's let out into the kitchen. Even then I have to be there with him. I hate sleeping in the living room/kitchen, and he hates sleeping in my room. I tried to give him access from my room to where he wants to sleep, but that didn't help either. He also has been eating a lot less frequently (I suspect this is due to teething, but not sure?)

Has anyone had similar experiences? How do I get him more comfortable at night.
