I do keep oxytocin on hand.. I only use it when I believe the mama needs help and at the end of whelping to make sure all the placentas have been removed.. As we know that if a placenta is left in the mama it will turn toxic! Although the use of oxytocin is not to be taken likely! If NOT used properly it can blow the mamas uterus! So please be very careful when using oxytocin and only on the advice of your vet..
