Apoquel is an amazing drug and it is very safe! I'm guessing since you say he is a holistic vet he may not like medicines. If you want to go holistic got to an integrative medicine vet not just a holistic vet sometime holistic is more dangerous then conventional medicine because its not tested or anything.
