 Heartworm Meds
As my Yorkie is getting older, she is getting more and more sensitive to the heartworm medicines available today. She's been on them all and gets diarrhea and vomiting 2 to 3 days after her monthly dose. (I also think it irritates her bladder.) Does anyone else have this problem and what has been your remedy? I want to discontinue these meds and do DNA testing 3 times a year for heartworms. Any discussion from someone who has tried this. My vet wants to discuss the pros and cons of this plan with me next week. |
