I learned a valuable lesson but it is hard to do. First when Chance was popping when I would see him doing this in the house I would yell out "NO" and take him outside. I think we you say "no" when they are doing it...it sometimes teaches them that they should not poop in front of you...they don't get the connection that they are doing it in the wrong place. They just figure that they are not supposed to poop, but of course we all know that they do. So when you catch them just pick them up and take them to the place where you want them to make poo poo. Then praise the heck out of them when they go in the right spot. If pad training maybe you might want to pick up some of the poo and put it on the pad. If out door training I always take the poo and throw it outside.
