Don't fret. It takes time for the older one to accept the new puppy. Just make sure you supervise them whenever they interact. When you're not around, you need to separate them, whether in an x-pen/crate/separate room.
It definitely helps if you do training sessions with them together. You'll find that the puppy will learn faster by observing the older one. She'll also learn the hierarchy of the house and that you're the boss. She needs to know that, so that if/when they play too rough, you can stop them (i.e. puppy biting on adult dog's tail/legs is very typical).
Runs is not normal, no. Are you using the same kibble that the puppy was on at your breeders?
