In researching their differences, I found red leg Yorkies and Wire hair Yorkies. The articles stated that these Yorkies were a throw back to the original Yorkie and should not be bred. Their coats would never reach the ground, the hair on the head and legs would always be short and the deep black and red colors would always be true and would not change.

I would love more information if anyone has researched these Yorkies. Your little one looks like mine.
