Welcome to YT, congrats on your new baby boy. It's hard to say what an ideal weight is for your puppy as each puppy is different. Your vet saw your puppy did you ask the vet, he/she would be the best one to answer that question as he/she has the puppy in front of them. Keep in mind this is just a baby at 8 weeks old and will sleep a lot, they play HARD and nap often. Also he's under stress from the move from a home that he knew for 8 weeks, no more momma, no more litter mates,you are a stranger to him, new home, new smells, new schedule, potty training beginning, that's a lot of adjusting for a wee lil baby.
