Wow, I really think that is rude of them. FIRST of all, it is your $$ and you can do whatever you want with it. You earned it. Second of all, many people dress up their dogs, if they didn't, would they really have so many websites about it?
I remember when I first got Brandy one some of my friends came over. One said a smart remark, "Well, at least you don't dress her up." So I said, "Sure do!!" Then I showed her Brandy's wardrobe and some cute sweaters I had just bought. I explained to her that yorkies have hair like humans so when they go outside, they need the extra warmth. Plus she looks so darn cute!
Don't let them bother you. Be proud you're a yorkie mommy. She is a lucky dog to have you. I wish every dog were treated so special! They are just being haters and I'm sure if they were blessed to have a yorkie in their life they would have at least one article of clothing for him/her. I'll bet if you brought her into work in a cute dress people would be all over her. |
