I cried too, how can we not? Dogs are so vulnerable and totally at any human's mercy or cruelty. Though at the edge of panic, at least that dog had not completely shut down, as some do, freezing in fear and utter subjection.

Just anything anyone can do, from volunteering, fostering or even to donating money or even things for rescue, can do so much to help care for and bring these damaged and/or homeless little ones back to a good place in life. It's the least we can do for the ever loyal friend who is always there with us, from the beginning to the end of our day, through thick and thin, wonderful, blessed times and tragic, devastating ones, always with a loving look, endless kisses, wagging tail and caressing, warm, furry presence, just for us, right there at our feet.
