Same here, my baby is 13 weeks old and weighs 2 pounds and he can slip right through. For us though, its
SUPER IMPORTANT that he
CAN'T get through because we're using that gate to block off entry into the staircase. He's so small that if he were to go up the stairs, he can fall right through the division in the railings and get seriously injured, if not worse. That's my biggest fear! So we did the same, put a net behind the gate completely so he can't get through even if he tried and it's worked great so far. The little terror can even get through the bars in the custom kennel I had built for them, LOL! But he's such a doll. We put the net up on the kennel too and now he doesn't get out.
