Our Bella used to vomit clear fluid from acid reflux/empty stomach. The vet said we could give her omeprazole, or try more frequent feedings to keep her stomach full. We went with more frequent feedings, and that worked for us. Hopefully Macy just had a mild stomach virus that will pass, but if it continues, you might want to ask about acid reflux/empty stomach.
If the vomiting continues, it could be problematic, because besides dehydration, Macy could aspirate (inhale) the vomit into her lungs. That happened with Bella, and we had to take her to the emergency vet. That's when they diagnosed her. Fortunately, there was no lung damage and she recovered quickly. |
