It's not abnormal for dogs to not be able to digest (fully) veg, fruits, or even some complex carbs - and you'll see that in the digestion (from one end or the other). It's not a big deal or anything...it's just way a dog's GI system is - it's very short as compared to ours. And the enzyme release is somewhat different too, and that changes things.
