**** You might also put a towel on the table and see if she won't eat pieces of chicken from a plate while you are eating it. (Place pieces near the edge of the plate - with your hand being close to her food - which she is used to.) Perhaps just being so close to you (and sharing dinner with you) might help her start eating from a plate by herself. ...then gradually move the plate further away from yourself and gradually stop sharing her meal. Hopefully, eventually she'll be eating on her own.

I guess you just have to be creative.
