Never trust craigslist.
Pardon my language, but there's some really s**tty people out there.
I cannot for the life of me understand why people want to deceive others like that. I mean I get it, but it's like hey. you know what you're doing is bad. Don't be the scum of the earth to put it lightly.
I didn't really completely read it because it felt too good to be true... Just makes me sick.
I've been looking through breeders site on google I even tried different breeds to see what I'd come up with(sheer curiosity) and I found that peoples guarantee is s**tty.
I'll post their guarantees so you can have a look at what I mean.
Guarantee http://www.highpointshihtzu.com/agreement-of-sale.html
Basically the first one red flag= farm, biljac, eukanuba foods, lack of warranty.
Second one has a warranty but from what I interpret it... "Hey, once you buy this dog you're on your own. If the dog is sick from some screw up on my end-- it's totally on you. If it's a big screw up you can only get a replacement- no refund"
Essentially both will not refund you. At least one of them specifies that any money lost in fixing their mistakes is not to be compensated.
I mean correct me if I am wrong, but even a petstore will refund you if they are caught giving you something bad. Even a petstore at times will pay for the vet bills if needed be. This says a lot because petstores aren't really that great to begin with. I should know because I used to work in one.
These aren't the only sites that give obvious red flags, found some yorkie sites, some chihuahua sites-- and they all boil down to them not taking any responsibility for their misrepresentation, or care.
The whole thing about you taking it to your vet, and only if the breeders vet agrees they're at fault then they get some exchange. I mean, most vets are probably good people... But you know, that vet could easily be their friend covering from them. I know it sounds paranoid but there's been a few cases that I heard about where that would happen.
