I looked up ticks and they do not simply enter your home. They have to be riding on your dog or a human. I am very sorry about your daughter having to go through that scary experience. Glad she noticed it in the shower. And I hope she had the best time ever! Ticks are truly scary but I never had an issue with all my dogs or myself. That being said please don't all jinx me this summer!!
I wouldn't wish it in anyone especially our poor dogs who don't know..
