So YES, ticks can get in the house, either by dog, or one falling on you, and you carry it in the house.

We don't go into woods, grass etc.. I know so many dog owners and they have never had one come to their house. If you had one jump on you you should check your dog every time you get home since that experience. Keep him/her cut short in summer.
