Rice isnt dangerous-- just starchy which is unneeded carbs... I know I shouldnt be speaking since im not healthy myself but a dogs body would take it worse.
Addisons? cous-cous? Potatoes are also starch/carbs.
I would think a whole egg(boiled) would be good for a dog every so often. It's full of the good cholesterol. Maybe half an egg for a smaller dog?
