As for why i dont do shelter- there's rarely any yorkies in shelters.,,

Shelters: pitbulls and chihuahuas for the most part... I wanted a yorkie or a yorkie mutt. But i prefer a yorkie, i always wanted to go through a breeder, as we used to foster dogs.

But making more of what fills shelters is terrible and the only way to stop it is to not support bad breeders once you know about them and spay and neuter. I have never seen a breeder who only did one thing wrong but I have seen a breeder who did something wrong and then upon further examination you come across more and more things they didn't do that they should have. It can be very hard to find a reputable breeder.
The yorkies available are really old or males. As for bad breeders, i wouldnt buy before inspecting their homes where their pups reside.

You know you can tell a lot about a person on how their house is set, whether its tidy or not is a first telltale sign of a good or bad breeder.
