Both of mine came from bad breeders heck I don't even know who the breeder of my pup is I just know he was 9 weeks old and had multiple homes and no one wanted him. Its a very complicated system. True designer breed breeders are the ones that sell their dogs for ridiculous prices like $1,000 or more for a mutt its crazy and people fall for it. I think its about two million we euthanize every year now. If you don't care if its pure bred or even looks like a standard yorkie why not go to a shelter or a rescue? |
Majority of dogs in shelters are pit bulls from what i see. Regardless you're right we shouldnt have so many in shelters either. There should be better laws to help curb it. Our mutt was expensive but not too expensive though the breeder now has gotten too big for her britches and sells them for 1.5k.... But i still dont regret sasha. As for why i dont do shelter- there's rarely any yorkies in shelters.,,
Shelters: pitbulls and chihuahuas for the most part... I wanted a yorkie or a yorkie mutt. But i prefer a yorkie, i always wanted to go through a breeder, as we used to foster dogs.
