I mean I understand what you mean in regards to a standard. But and this is a strictly personal opinion.... But i really dont think its a bad idea to breed some out of standard dogs as long as they're perfect where it matters- health and mentality. If a dog is both healthy and good nature why not? I mean maybe not charge higher for them because like you said they're not in the standards. But what's wrong with a yorkie with floppy ears or a parti colored yorkie... AS Long as it doesnt impact their health why not? People will still do them regardless, and there's plenty of people who'd want a floppy eared, parti colored or cross bred dog- why not at least let otherwise good breeders do so? It would at least provide those who are so into a non-standard dog their cake and spoon without having to resort to the bad breeders or god forbid a puppy mill.

You know- i think if there were people who bred things like that or even cross breeds it would at least give them a normal or cheaper prices one whose in hood health.

I say this because i hear a lot of people dissing breeders of designer dogs... AND yes they are mutts- but i nor my mother would ever regret sasha our cockapoo.

She's the best thing that came into our somewhat sour lives.

Im not saying that we shouldnt strive for standard of course we should but i honestly believe if the dog in question is amazing in personality and health then let them pass on their genes. At one point there was no such thing as a yorkie.

It all starts from somewhere. As long as they arent gross like the "american bully" which is an abomination. They're ill bred and full of health issues just for aesthetics...

My point is as long as you dont trade visuals for health::: as long as health isnt compromised.

But again i get what you're saying.
