I had to wash my 8-week old at least every week when I first got him.

He didn't like being bathed (I don't think most puppies do). But he had to be bathed - so, I filled my kitchen sink with warm water, dipped him in, and gently bathed him as "quickly" as possible. After washing, I rinsed him off with warm water from the faucet (he was so little)... and then towel dried him. I didn't use the hair dryer when he was so tiny. I just dried him as thoroughly as possibly (using several towels if necessary). And - made sure he became completely dry soon after that.

And - suprisingly - even at that young age - he did the "after the bath going crazy all over" thing.

I think the key is "be gentle" and "be fast!!!!!!!" And, of course, you just can't give them too many compliments when you're done - because they are so cute and smell so good (and, I think they know it - even at a young age).

Baths aren't fun - but we can make them as enjoyable as possible - with our tone of voice, etc.
