One of my dogs died from heartworms (mid treatment) 30 years ago in way North California about an hour from Oregon. I had never heard of heartworm before then. I was still paying for the loan I took out for his treatment for about 6 months after he died.
I still remember every heart breaking, painful (for me and him) moment.
Never again if I have a say in the matter.
