Don't worry - I can promise you that it doesn't hurt a dog to swallow gum.
We've had threads about this several times in the past. Their stomach acids can digest this faster than most other food they eat.
I had one dog that would chew a piece of gum for almost half an hour. It was a riot watching her sit on the sofa, watching TV, and chewing gum.
And, recently I noticed my little Yorkie jumping up and down and acting strange while he was trying to drink water. I picked him and looked at him and couldn't believe it. He had gotten a piece of gum and had glued his top lips (hair) to his bottom lip. I actually had to use scissors to cut them apart.
Crazy man!!!!
