We picked upm Max this afternoon. He is full of energy. He wore himself out and is now at my side sleeping. His haircut is funky! Sort of a chop job, but he is cute anyway. We tried to feed him with the others but he wouldn't even try it. The shelter gave us two cans of Mighty Dog which they had been feeding him since their vet removed 12 teeth. He did eat a small piece of cheese. Not sure if he is scared, doesn't like the food or if his gums are still sore. He was on pain pills till today. He also has a little diarrhea.
All four dogs are exhausted. The shelter requires all the families' dogs meet any potential adoptee. The director takes them all for walks together. My collies seemed like " oh, well," but my other senior adoptee seemed really happy with Max, but stressed. Spenser is shorter and lighter than Max, but it looks like they may become fast friends. The two collies watch over the two yorkies. They are quiets a gang.
I would love some ideas for training snacks for my toothless love.
