Congrats on your new baby. Pooping on the pad, this is exactly why it is advised to not take a baby at 8 weeks old. Between 8 weeks and 12 weeks old the momma is teaching the babies bite inhibition, human momma is pad training, both human and fur momma's are training these babies. Now don't get upset if he should not use the pads all the time, remember, you, your home, sounds, smells are all new to him, there may be accidents. Sounds like you are both off to a great start.
