Whenever you leave, don't make a big deal out of it. Like, don't do the sad voice (because I know how hard it is to leave them home at first). Best if you don't say anything at all. And just go. Reason is, if you do the sad voice, he'll sense it, and will learn that when you leave, it's like something bad. The last thing you want is for him to develop separation anxiety.
Keep him occupied with toys in his safe enclosed space. He'll be fine!!
