I walk dogs 2x a week, 3 hrs at a time at the shelter - and so what *I* (stress, me!) would look for in a walker is:
-- they always carry an extra leash
-- carry pepper spray or citronella spray for any dangerous stray dogs
-- carry treats
-- carry phone
-- understand small dogs' needs (ie, harness etc)
And if you wanted - ask them to text you a pic of them walking too, nothing wrong with that.  |
Actually did just that a few hours after my post! I love how they have background checks, and I see a lot of really great people. Should have done that immediately! Thank you! I love this list and I now have some really great questions.
