Agree, that baby looks purebred Yorkshire Terrier. Major head tilt on this little one. Love those pups with exaggerated 'cute' abilities! That black mask he has across his eyes is unique and utterly charming, like a black-hearted little dreamboat who will always rule your life! I kinda feel sorry for you because how can you HELP spoiling this little bandit by granting his every wish! He'll always steal your heart, he sure would mine!
I see the brownish/gold color you are talking about, probably from the choc parent, which will probably lighten to a gold as he ages while his roots stay dark. My Tibbe's back/flank hair is dark blue at the roots but he turns light gray at the tips, across his back/flank as his tips lighten even more in summer.
