I understand vets are the experts, but, when MY vet told me to not give my gal her vitamins, I did, because I tend to notice a brittle coat- which she has. I'm keeping her hair in a puppy cut until her tests have concluded. she sheds fuzzzies sometimes, but it's only when her hair gets extra long. her tummy problems are pretty bad, and I give her two handfuls of kibble a day and have taken to putting fresh veggies into her boiled diet, along with a vitamin and any fruits/veggies (she can eat) that she asks for for snacks. I stick with the fromms, and we are currently going down the list for which meats are bad and which aren't. We do it for two weeks at a time, only that protein. It worked, because we've pinpointed issues doing this method. Thanks to someone who I won't name, but has my gratitude, we are probably close to pinpointing her issue. Up your little one's Greens if possible. Stick with what Ann has told you, because it's solid. My gal is on Tamaril P- which helps her appetite, but isn't touching her itching. She also licks OUR skin obsessively first thing each morning, for awhile. I am positive it's an enzyme issue. She's craving salt, which shows me her enzymes are off. I was told a few months ago that not only does the coconut oil on the skin work, but also try giving her a little bit each day. that helps to coat the tummy, and it has worked for my gal, too. Her groomer -who is fabulous-has told me to go with an exfoliating shampoo. It SOUNDS bad, but usually her coat is soft and shiny after bathing with one of these. I hope your gal gets better. Keep mine in your thoughts, as she's up for some painful tests the next few months.
